Missing child found safe, police say

An 8-year boy whose disappearance sparked an Amber Alert Saturday night has been found safe, police say.
Police say the child left the family's Toronto-area home with his mother more than a week ago on April 13.
They say they received information on Friday that raised concerns about his safety in her care.
Toronto police Det. Darren Berenowski said investigators were also concerned about the mother's safety.
The child and his mother were found safe late Saturday night.
