Toronto man charged with father's murder

A Toronto man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of his elderly father.
On Monday, April 16, at approximately 6:30 a.m., police were called to a home in the High Park Avenue and Bloor Street West area, where a man allegedly said that he had assaulted his parents.
At that time, the suspect was arrested under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital for evaluation.
The suspect's parents were transported to hospital for their injuries, police said.
Zlatko Sego, 39, appeared in court on Wednesday. He is charged with second-degree murder and assault causing bodily harm.
Sego's 79-year-old father Ivan died in hospital Tuesday morning.
