Yan Raae was at the Rich Nightclub in the Entertainment District for a friend's birthday party on April 22 when he says someone smashed a bottle over his head.
He was then escorted out into a laneway by security, where someone else punched him in the face, causing him to fall and smash his head on the cement.
He was unconscious when paramedics arrived.
"It isn't fair at all," the black-eyed teen told CityNews in an exclusive interview. "I was just in shock, I don't deserve this at all."
Raae admitted he was drinking with friends, but maintains he did nothing to provoke an attack and doesn't know why he was targeted.
He suffered a fractured skull, internal bleeding, and had 20 staples in his head.
He could lose vision in one eye and is awaiting an appointment with a specialist.
The teen's father said he was awoken in the middle night with news that his boy had been seriously injured.
"I get a knock on my door and there's two police officers at my door," said Curtis Raae. "I knew something had happened. I went straight to the intensive care unit and saw my son laying there."
Rich nightclub did want to speak to CityNews about the incident.
An investigation is ongoing.
"There are a number of officers assigned to the case," said Const. Tony Vella. "The question is who is it? Someone out there knows that answer."
