The sun is on our side all weekend according to CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter. He predicts temperatures will reach about 26 C in the city on Saturday and Sunday, making this one of the nicest Victoria Day long weekends in years. Coulter said the warm air and humidity may make it feel more like 32 C Sunday afternoon.
We might not be so lucky Monday afternoon however, as the forecast calls for showers later in the day. Stay tuned to CP24 all weekend for the latest weather updates, as the rain could put a damper on your drive home from cottage country or fireworks plans.
Drivers should also be aware of a major road closure planned this weekend. The Gardiner Expressway will be closed for "regular spring maintenance" from 2 a.m. on Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday.
