Fire causes major damage to Scarborough home

A two-alarm fire early Sunday morning caused major damage to a home in Scarborough.

It happened around 1 a.m. on Meadowvale Road, north of Lawrence Avenue East.

Firefighters had to cut through the roof to get to the blaze, which flared up again after it appeared to be under control.

No one was hurt.

It’s not yet known what caused the fire.
