St Ann cops hunting men for murder of tourist

THE St Ann police say they are pursuing a group of men who they suspect were involved in Thursday night's deadly home invasion in Runaway bay in the parish.
A group of about six men reportedly invaded a Villa at Cardiff Hall in Runaway Bay about 10:30 Thursday night killing 35-year-old Gavin Campbell, a Jamaican living in Orlando, Florida.
According to the police, family members who attended a reuinion the day before were at the villa when several men armed with guns and other deadly weapons entered.
The men proceeded to rob the them of valuables including money and cellular phones.
A tussle reportedly developed between the robbers and the occupants when the men opened fire hitting Campbell.
He was taken to the St Ann's Bay hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The men escaped in bushes in the area.
The police say a man believed to be among the robbers and who they suspect was injured during the incident later turned up fpr treatement at the St Ann's Bay Hospital, he was arrested and remains in hospital under police guard.
Investigators say they have identified the five other men they believe were involved in the incident and have since launched a search for them.
The police are asking anyone who might have information on the incident and can assist in their investigation to contact them.
