Police are investigating after a 26-year-old man was fatally shot inside an east-end apartment building Saturday night.
It happened at around 11:15 p.m. at a building on Main Street north of Kingston Road.
The victim, who hasn't been identified, was found in a fifth floor hallway suffering from a single gunshot wound.
He was rushed to St. Michael’s Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
No arrests have been made at this point.
The incident marks the second homicide recorded in the city in less than 24 hours.
At around 12:40 a.m. Saturday police responded to a call near Mclevin and Morningside avenues after gunshots were heard in the area. Upon arriving at the scene, police found 28-year-old Abdulaziz Farah suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
