Mississauga man faces charges in alleged Ponzi scheme

A Mississauga man faces 12 charges in connection with a fraud investigation police allege cost investors $2.3 million.
Police allege the man operated a Ponzi scheme under a company known as LexxCo Corporation, located on The East Mall.
Police said victims were lured by advertisements in local newspapers offering investors 10 to 12 per cent returns.
The reported loss of 12 identified victims is $2.3 million, police said.
Andre Lewis, 47, of Mississauga, is charged with 12 counts of fraud over $5,000.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
Police believe there may be more victims.
