Streetcar crash closes major east-end intersection

Emergency crews are at the scene of a streetcar collision on Queen Street at Broadview Avenue.
The TTC is reporting that two streetcars derailed in a head-on crash and at least two passengers suffered minor injuries.
The crash filled the air with smoke.
The TTC says the 501 Queen streetcar will be diverted in both directions until police finish their investigation into the crash. The road closure is expected to last about two hours.
The streetcar will be diverting around Parliament, Dundas, Broadview, Gerrard and Coxwell.
