Two people run down in separate incidents

The first incident happened around 11:30 p.m. in a parking lot near Jane St. and Gordon MacKay Rd. Two women were having an argument when one of them began backing up her vehicle, as the other tried to stop her from leaving. According to police, the driver then ran over the other woman. The driver was arrested at the scene and is facing a string of charges, while the victim was transported to hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
The second incident happened around 3 a.m. near Kingston Rd. and Lawrence Ave. According to police, a fight broke out between a group of men in the parking lot. Police allege one of them eventually sped off, hitting a man in his 20s. He did not remain at the scene and police are searching for a black Honda Civic with tinted windows.
