Three people, including two toddlers, have been rushed to hospital after they fell from a Scarborough balcony this afternoon.
It happened shortly after 4 p.m. at a high-rise building on Holmfirth Terrace near Scarborough Golf Club Road and Lawrence Avenue.
According to EMS, a two-year-old, an eight-month-old and a 24-year-old man all plummeted about 40 feet, landing on a stretch of grass below.
They were transported to hospital CTAS 2, which is generally reserved for serious, though not always life-threatening injuries.
A fourth person also fell, but was treated at the scene and did not require further medical attention.
It is not known what caused the fall.
