Fire guts vacant Mississauga home

Officials are investigating after fire gutted a vacant home in Mississauga early Saturday morning.

The blaze started around 1 a.m. and soon engulfed the house on Old Derry Road, near Highway 401 and Mavis Road.


A 16-year-old boy who lives in the area noticed the flames and called 911.


According to neighbours, the house was bought only recently and was under renovation.


No one was injured in the fire.
