Man struck by TTC bus near Dufferin and Bloor

A man in his 30s may lose his right foot to amputation after he was struck by a TTC bus near Dufferin and Bloor Street Saturday afternoon.
It happened around 2:15 p.m. outisde Dufferin Station.
Police say the man was intoxicated at the time of the accident and somehow got his right leg stuck in the back wheel of the bus, severing his foot above his ankle.
He was rushed to St. Michael's Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, where he remains.
The 29 Dufferin bus was diverting as a result of the accident, but service returned to normal around 4:45 p.m.
