Pedestrian struck by TTC bus at Bloor and Dufferin


A pedestrian was struck by a TTC bus at Dufferin Station on Nov. 26, 2011. CITYNEWS.

Toronto police are investigating after a man in his 40s was struck by a TTC bus at Bloor and Dufferin streets on Saturday afternoon.

The collision happened outside the subway station around 2:50 p.m.


The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his right leg.


The 29 Dufferin bus was diverting southbound on Dupont and Lansdowne as police investigated. Regular service resumed around 4:45 p.m.


Earlier Saturday, a woman was struck by a large van on Eglinton Avenue east of Mount Pleasant.


Paramedics confirm the victim, believed to be in her 50s, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.


Eglinton Avenue was shut down in both directions as Toronto police investigated.
