Police investigate Seneca College assault
Police have a suspect in custody after a man in his 20s suffered a scratch on his throat during an assault at Seneca College's York campus Friday morning.
It happened around 11:30 a.m.
The victim, who knows the suspect, was taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said.
Man charged with attempted murder
A Toronto man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a west-end shooting.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 12 near Blackthorn Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West.
The victim was travelling on a TTC bus in the area at the time and was followed off by two men.
One of the men allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired three shots directly at the victim, striking him in his neck, hand and leg.
He remains in hospital with critical injuries.
On Thursday, Bilal Mohammed Deeb, 19, was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Police are still looking for a second suspect.
Deeb is scheduled to appear in court Friday afternoon.
