Serious collision closes Toronto-bound QEW

Emergency crews have arrived on the scene of the collision near the Fairview Avenue exit by Mapleview Mall.
OPP said that one vehicle being operated by an older male was travelling in the Niagara-bound lanes when it crossed into the Toronto-bound lanes and collided with another vehicle carrying three males believed to be in their 30s.
All lanes of the Toronto-bound QEW have been closed from North Shore Boulevard to Highway 2.
Police said that two of the men travelling in the Toronto-bound vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries, while the third man suffered non life-threatening injuries.
The injuries to the man driving in the wrong direction were not immediately known. He was conscious and alert when transported to hospital, police said.
Police said the road will likely be closed for two to three hours.
