A protest in support of election reform in the Democratic Republic of Congo disrupted traffic in downtown Toronto Monday afternoon.
About 150 protesters gathered at Queen's Park before marching across Bloor Street to Yonge Street and staging a sit in.
The protesters sat in the intersection, blocking traffic heading in all directions.
The protesters began heading south on Yonge Street towards Queen Street just after 2 p.m.
A Congolese protest earlier this month turned violent outside the U.S. embassy on University Avenue.
A few demonstrators were arrested after throwing things at police.
