Peel police are asking for the public’s help after they say a developmentally disabled teenage boy was sexually assaulted in Brampton.

Investigators say on Friday Nov. 25 at around 11 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was at the Bramalea City Centre when he was approached by an unknown man.

The teen was taken into a nearby washroom and sexually assaulted.

“This victim is developmentally delayed. He does function at a lower level that an average 17-year-old and I guess that’s what’s alarming to us, that this suspect would prey on somebody that has a disability,” said Sgt. George Tudos.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned Asian male, 30-45 years old, 5’7 - 5’10 tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket, faded jeans rolled up at the bottom, black running shoes, a dark winter toque with red and white stripes. He was also wearing glasses.
