Male suspect sought in barber shop shooting

The man who walked into a Malvern Town Centre barber shop and fatally shot Chris Thompson Tuesday afternoon was dressed in dark clothing and armed with a long-barreled firearm, Toronto police say.
Police put out a news release early Wednesday morning, confirming that they are looking for a single male suspect in connection with the case.
The suspect, who was carrying a small bag over his right shoulder, was seen running from the scene through a parking lot at 31 Tapscott Road.
Thompson, 35, was shot inside Cut Creator around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, several employees and other patrons in the shop at the time witnessed the shooting.
On Tuesday afternoon an aunt told CP24 that Thompson was a father of two children, and had worked at the barber shop for several years.
