KINGSTON, Jamaica — A Toronto couple charged with concealing the death of a two-year-old boy are to appear today in court in Kingston, Jamaica.
Police charged the parents on Sunday after discovering the boy's partially mummified remains in a suitcase in Jamaica.
A pathology report suggests he likely died from disease, asphyxiation or poisoning and probably died several months ago.
The report suggests it may prove difficult to determine the exact cause of death due to advanced decomposition.
The charges come four years after the couple admitted to abandoning their infant daughter in a freezing Toronto stairwell in the dead of winter.
Angelica-Leslie -- as she was nicknamed by aid workers -- was found in a parking lot stairwell in east Toronto, touching off a massive police search for her parents.
