Eleven people were taken into custody and two guns were seized after gunshots were fired in a Toronto neighbourhood early Thursday morning.
Someone called 911 after multiple gunshots were heard near Tandridge Crescent, near Albion Road and Elmhurst Drive, at about 3:15 a.m.
Toronto police officers responded and arrested four males following a foot pursuit.
A police spokesman said officers seized a .45-calibre handgun from one of the males, leading to a search warrant being executed at a home in the neighbourhood.
During the search, police seized a second handgun and arrested five males and two females.
The investigation continues. Charges have not been laid.
Police are asking anyone with information to call investigators at 23 Division.
