Man dies after North York apartment fire

A man has died in hospital after he was pulled from an apartment fire over the weekend.
The victim was found without vital signs around 3 a.m. Sunday in an apartment on Paxtonia Boulevard, near Keele and Wilson. Paramedics managed to revive the man and he was rushed to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The man’s name and age haven’t been released.
Investigators believe careless smoking was the cause of the fatal fire.
