A knife found in a child's trick-or-treat bag on Oct. 31, 2011. BARRIE POLICE.
A Barrie parent who was going through her daughter's trick-or-treat bag got a nasty surprise after Halloween: A four-inch knife was discovered among the candy.

Police were called and arrived at the home. Officers say it was difficult to pull any fingerprints from the knife, because the parents had touched it.

Luckily for the little girl, none of the candy was tampered with.

The family doesn't know where the child could have picked up the knife. Police are looking for tips.
