A Brampton man was killed in a crash on Highway 401 near Guelph involving three tractor-trailers early Saturday.

The chain-reaction collision happened around 3 a.m. The OPP said one rig rear-ended another, causing it to hit a third truck.

The driver of the third tractor-trailer—the 38-year-old Brampton man—was trapped in the cab when the rig burst into flames, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name hasn’t been released.

The other two drivers managed to get out of their vehicles safely. One of them was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
