TORONTO — A third man arrested on gun-related charges in Toronto last summer has seen the charges dropped.
A spokesman for the Ministry of the Attorney General says charges against Kevin Prempeh, 20, of Toronto, were withdrawn today.
Brendan Crawley says the charges were dropped because there was no longer a reasonable prospect of conviction.
Prempeh was among five people charged with drug and gun-related offences in July after police executed search warrants in a northwest Toronto neighbourhood.
Charges against two 18-year-old men were withdrawn earlier this week.
A 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act were also charged in the case but there is no word if those charges will also be withdrawn.
