2 people taken to hospital after Rexdale shooting

A shooting outside a banquet sent two people to hospital on Dec. 11, 2011.

Two people have been taken to hospital after a shooting in Rexdale late Sunday night.

Police were called to a banquet hall in the Albion Road and Highway 27 shortly before 11:30 p.m.

A female victim was shot in the foot and driven to the hospital by a friend. EMS transported a second male victim in his mid 20s to hospital with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.

Both victims are expected to recover.

Police are still looking for suspects.
