Caregiver charged after patient, 88, sexually assaulted

A caregiver has been charged with sexually assaulting an 88-year-old woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
The sex assault happened inside a washroom at the Kensington Long-Term Care Centre on Brunswick Avenue Tuesday night.
The suspect is a support worker who has worked in the building for seven years.
Police told CP24 Wednesday that another employee witnessed the incident and called authorities. Detectives would like to speak with any other potential witnesses.
James Stewart Brown, 57, was arrested in connection with the case. He was remanded into custody following a court appearance.
