And this time he allegedly threatened to kill the victim.
Toronto Police say they are extremely eager to get the wanted man in custody and they are appealing to the public for help locating him once again for help.
“We are very concerned for this woman’s safety,” Const. Tony Vella said Friday.
He said the “escalation” of the allegations is especially troubling.
The first encounter between the couple, who are known to each other, occurred Dec. 15.
In that incident, police said the accused approached the woman around 10 a.m. outside her home near Albion Rd. and Kipling Ave. and began hitting her in her face.
“Then he allegedly grabbed her arm and broke it in two places,” Vella said. “It was quite a violent attack.”
The woman, who is in her 20s, was taken to hospital and reported the incident to police.
A few days later investigators issued their first appeal for help locating Harjit Singh Hundal, explaining he was wanted for aggravated assault.
They also released a photo of the Brampton man, who is known to police.
Then on Dec. 23, Hundal contacted her “numerous times” threatening to kill her, the victim told police.
Hundal is now additionally sought for intimidation, attempting to obstruct justice, criminal harassment, two counts of threatening death and 18 counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
“We are urging this man to turn himself in to police,” Vella said.
He warned citizens not to approach the wanted man but to call police immediately if they spot him.
“He is considered dangerous,” Vella said.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact 23 Division at 416-808-2300, or Crime Stoppers at 416-222 TIPS (8477) or online at www.222tips.com.
