A Mississauga woman accused of murdering her two-year-old daughter will make another court appearance on Tuesday.
The body of Evadne Williams-Scott, also known as “Eva,” was found inside a townhouse on Colonial Drive, near The Collegeway, on New Year’s Day. Police say the girl had “obvious signs of trauma,” but won’t release the cause of death.
Police were called to the home near Highway 403 and Winston Churchill Boulevard around 3:45 p.m. after neighbours noticed the girl’s hysterical mother on a balcony.
Officers were forced to use a Taser to subdue the 24-year-old woman. Teresa Williams is charged with second-degree murder.
Williams appeared in court on Jan. 2 and a judge ordered a psychiatric evaluation.
