TORONTO - A man arrested last week by Toronto Police for allegedly running a snow removal scam has been identified as 14 more victims have come forward.
Toronto resident Irakli Kristesiashvili, 23, was charged in the fraud investigation Jan. 4.
He is accused of running a snow removal scam through one business called Unique Seasonal Services in the months of November and December.
He allegedly would knock on the doors of homes in North York, introduce himself as "Eric", offer a snow removal service for the season, and then never show up.
The scam left at least two seniors housebound as snow piled up on their driveway and walkway. One senior said he paid $330 for a season's worth of snow removal service that he never received.
